Alexandra Cline

Alexandra Cline

Alexandra Cline is a second year MFA fiction candidate at San Diego State University. She is a Teaching Associate for both the Rhetoric and English departments at SDSU. Alex is also the current Fiction Editor of PacificREVIEW annual.

Originally hailing from Vermont, Alex feels perpetually out of place in sunny Southern CA, but considers said affectation part of her “writerly charm.”

When asked what her first publication would mean to her, Alexandra responded:

To be published for the first time would be quite the joy, as I spend most of my time working on lesson plans and literary analysis, while still trying to maintain a life and, you know, write.

As a young woman of color trying to gain headway in academia, I try to quell my nerves with the birth of a fantastical story or two a semester – and I can only hope other people enjoy my stories even a fraction as much as I love writing them.

Thank you for reading.
